Strength Is Our Foundation Grant

Thanks to different partnerships and sponsors, we are able to provide fitness equipment to departments across the United States. Over the past 7 years we have donated close to $172,000 in equipment. Past winners have varied in size, type, and location. The one commonality they've all shared is a goal to improve the health and well-being of the department's membership. This has been exhibited in a variety of ways including the adoption of Health and Wellness SOPs, social media posts showing a culture of fitness, and the act of applying for grants, like ours, to obtain equipment.

Because our grant is non-matching, no costs are incurred by the department. A waiver is required to be signed by a Chief or person with similar authority in order to be eligible to apply.

Who Can Apply?

Any department or organization that provides first responder services:

Fire, Police, EMS, Wildland, Volunteer, Career, Combination Paid, etc.

How to Apply?

Once the grant is open, click on the Grant Application tab above. There you will find the link to the application. For those having issues accessing the grant application, use Chrome internet browser.

We receive our applications through Google Documents, which will NOT save your information until it is submitted, so please gather all information in advance and submit your form once complete. You can edit information after submitting.

Please note that in order to be eligible, the waiver is required to be signed by your department chief or a person with similar decision making authority.
